Dates: October 1, 8, 15, 22 (Wednesdays), 7-9pm

Description: This class will help you master the knit and purl stitches, learn to increase and decrease, change yarn colours, cast on and off, and read a pattern. Projects choices will include; scarf, toque, baby blanket, or dishcloth.
Session 1: The following techniques will be covered:
-Cast on
-Knit Stitch
-Purl Stitch
-Reading a pattern
Each student will choose a project and needed materials. Time and experience permitting, some students may start.
Session 2: All students will have begun their project.
Techniques from Session 1 will be reinforced, and the following will be added:
-Cast off
-Increases and Decreases
Session 3: Techniques from Session 1 and 2 will be reinforced, and the following will be added:
-Changing yarn colours
Students will continue their project.
Session 4:
Most students should be finishing up their first project by now, and will be encouraged to try another project using different techniques.
